We don't start with the setting.
We start with the stone.
Most jewellery brands show you the finished piece. We think the story begins before it was cut. At the mine, with the people who extracted it, in the workshop that shaped it. Protocol 04 is our attempt to make that story legible.
Every piece in our collection carries a serial number and a four-step provenance chain: extracted, unearthed by, cut & polished, set. Not as a marketing exercise. A standard we impose on ourselves and on every supplier in the chain.
PROTOCOL 04 EXPLAINED
Four steps. No exceptions.
Extracted
Country and mine of origin. Verified against source documentation: not region, not country of export. The specific mine, where we can get it. This is the hardest data point to obtain, which is exactly why we require it.
Unearthed by
The miner or cooperative responsible. We require a name. Not "local miners" or "artisanal sources." A person or organisation we can point to. The stone came from someone's hands. That deserves acknowledgement.
Cut & polished
The cutter's workshop, location, technique applied, and the rough weight before and after. Every decision made in this step changes the stone permanently. We record it so the piece carries its full history.
Set
The goldsmith's name and studio. The alloy used: percentage and composition, not just "18k yellow gold." The date it was completed. This is when the stone becomes the piece. We mark the moment.
02 SOURCING
Trace
the origin.
Three sites. One island. Every stone we use is documented from the moment it leaves the earth: extraction point, inland transit, coastal export. If we cannot trace it, we do not use it.
